Green Diamond International, in partnership with MBCC and under contract with the US Army, successfully repaired and expanded the runway in Jalalabad, Nangarhar, South Afghanistan. The project included designing and constructing a 7,260 feet by 140 feet runway expansion and milling existing asphalt and new pavement, all adhering to FAA Advisory Circulars (FAA AC) standards to ensure top-notch quality and safety. Our dedicated project management team, along with skilled engineers, procurement specialists, and hardworking laborers, delivered exceptional results. Completed in 18 months, this project was crucial in supporting US Air Force operations maintaining uninterrupted runway functionality through robust construction safety measures and phased engineering designs.
